Raene Myste McLoud
Raene's life before the age of 12 is a total blank. It was then that she awoke from a 3 month coma. All that she knew about her life before then was told to her by her various doctors. After Rae had fully recovered, she was placed in an orphanage. She had been there for about a year when the McLouds adopted her. They allowed her to choose her own name, and she chose Raene Myste.
She returned to school, and quickly caught up with her classmates, making straight A's. After graduating from high school, she attended college for a short time. Until one day she suddenly just stopped going. She spent most days after that locked in the bedroom of her apartment. Her memory had started to return. Only in bits and pieces, but enough to upset her tremendously. She never spoke directly of the memories.
In a short time, Rae became clinically depressed. Her parents managed to get her to see some psychiatrists, but to no avail. At the age of 21, Rae finally started to struggle her way back out of the depression. With the support of her family and friends, she managed to pull completely out of the depression.
A year later, though, her mother was diagnosed with a severe, and very fatal, case of cancer. It was only a year after that when Elena McLoud, foster mother of Raene McLoud and wife to Alexander McLoud, died. Grief-stricken, Raene once more withdrew from everything and everyone. Two more years passed before she recovered again.
A short while after that, Rae was tentatively thinking about going back to school. She also knew that she needed to "get away" for awhile. It was then that she came across an article on the small tropical island of Morada. When Rae learned of the University of Morada, she decided to go. After briefly visiting the island, she returned to her home to visit her dad and collect her belongings. She was 25 years old then. She moved to Morada, enrolled in U. of M. and received a degree in academics.
Raene Myste McLoud has lived on Morada for 3 years now, and is very happy with her life there.
